F2 at 200mm is not a common pairing of focal length and aperture.
FUJINON XF200mmF2 R LM OIS WR combines a reach of 305mm (35mm equivalent) with an aperture of F2, which is usually reserved for far shorter primes.
This gives the lens significant light-gathering ability and creative options most telephoto lenses simply cannot touch. It ships as a kit with a dedicated teleconverter, extending its reach even further without the need to pack a second lens.

XF200mmF2 reaches 200mm (305mm in 35mm equivalent), with a maximum aperture of F2 that gathers even the faintest light effectively.
Most telephoto zooms have narrowed to somewhere around F5.6 or F8 by the time they reach 200mm, and the difference is significant: F2 gathers three stops more light than F5.6, and four stops more than F8.
In a dim stadium or an indoor arena, that difference means not having to push ISO or reduce shutter speed. Instead, the aperture can open wide enough to gather the light, keeping noise down and retaining detail and movement in conditions that would otherwise force a compromise.

The kit includes a dedicated FUJINON XF1.4X TC WR Teleconverter, extending reach to a 430mm focal length (35mm equivalent). Where the general XF1.4X TC WR used with zoom lenses is built from seven elements in three groups, this version adds one aspherical element, tuned for the wider light cone an F2 aperture puts through it.
It reduces only one stop of light, bringing the maximum aperture to around F2.8, which is still faster than most telephoto zooms manage without any teleconverter at all. XF1.4X TC F2 WR adds only about 130g (4.6oz) to the overall lens weight.

A SET button instantly shifts focus to a saved preset distance, cutting the time needed to lock onto a subject that reappears in the same spot.
A programmable function button can be set to AF-ON or focus lock, keeping your hands on the lens barrel and eye on the viewfinder rather than reaching for camera body controls.
A focus limiter further narrows the AF search range for quicker acquisition.

A linear motor autofocus system delivers fast, near silent focus tracking – that’s an advantage on the sidelines and in wildlife hides alike, where focus noise can disturb the scene.
Optical Image Stabilization adds up to 5.0 stops of correction, which is particularly valuable given the lens’s reach.

Image quality throughout the aperture range is maintained by 19 elements in 14 groups, including two extra-low dispersion (ED) elements and one Super ED element.
At F2 and 200mm, telephoto compression flattens the distance between a subject and whatever sits behind it, while the shallow depth-of-field of the F2 aperture blurs that background into a smooth wash of color and light.
Together, they isolate a subject from a busy scene in a way a narrower aperture can’t, whether that’s an animal picked out from a tangle of branches or a performer on stage.
The nine-blade rounded diaphragm shapes that blur into notably smooth, creamy bokeh – a defining quality of XF200mmF2.
The magnesium alloy body is resistant against dust and moisture and operates down to -10°C (14°F), with a fluorine coating on the front element for extra protection. A matte silver finish, unusual among Fujinon telephoto lenses, reduces reflected light and heat buildup during long sessions in direct sun. The lens on its own weighs 2265g (5lb), with a minimum focus distance of 1.8m.
