FotoFest
FotoFest is a Houston-based contemporary arts and education organization dedicated to advancing photography and visual culture through the presentation of exhibitions, public programs, publications, curricula, and its professional development program, The Meeting Place Portfolio Review. The examination of society, culture, and contemporary life through the lens of photography and related media is central to FotoFest’s mission. FotoFest organizes a citywide biennial project in the form of large-scale central exhibitions, curated lectures, performances, symposia, and film programs, in addition to the organization’s year-round programming.

About The Meeting Place Portfolio Review by FotoFest
The Meeting Place Portfolio Review by FotoFest is the largest, longest running, and most international program of its kind in the United States. Throughout its history, beginning with the first iteration in 1986, The Meeting Place has brought together thousands of photographic artists and photography professionals from around the world to one common location. The event is truly a meeting place – a unique, photography-centered environment where participants have the opportunity to network, collaborate, share ideas, and establish life-long connections.
FotoFest at FUJIKINA NYC 2026
FotoFest is thrilled to bring The Meeting Place to FUJIKINA NYC 2026 for a half-day of portfolio reviews on Saturday, October 17. A roster of 25 expert portfolio reviewers from NYC, the wider United States, and beyond join us to review the work of 50 photographers. Participating photographers will share their photography portfolio with three reviewers during one-on-one portfolio review sessions, each lasting 20 minutes. Physical portfolios of prints are encouraged but not required. Registration is first come, first served.
