FUJIFILM X-T30 III is the same size and weight as its predecessor, FUJIFILM X-T30 II. That means it’s the lightest interchangeable-lens camera body in our existing lineup, weighing just 329g (11.6oz) body only and measuring 118.4x82.8x46.8mm (4.66x3.26x1.84in). Adding the new FUJINON XC13-33mmF3.5-6.3 OIS zoom lens only adds an extra 125g (4.4oz), so it’s a remarkably compact and lightweight combination that delivers brilliant results.

FUJIFILM X-T30 III features our tried-and-tested NP-W126S rechargeable battery, also found in current models like FUJIFILM X-M5 and X100VI. As with any camera, battery performance varies depending on the features and functionality you use. For example, using continuous autofocus, increasing screen or viewfinder brightness, or making video will all consume more power and drain the battery quicker. Working in colder conditions also reduces battery performance. In normal conditions, FUJIFILM X-T30 III will deliver 425* images per charge. It’s worth remembering that the USB-C connector allows you to recharge the camera on the move via a powerbank – or buying a second battery is recommended if you’re concerned about access to power for recharging.

FUJIFILM X-T30 III uses the same X Mount as all other interchangeable-lens X Series models. This means you can use any XF or XC lens, giving you a huge choice when it comes to additional options. The current range comprises more than 40 optics, including both primes (single focal length) and zooms, with focal lengths that cover everything from ultra wide angle to super telephoto. Macro options and extension tubes give you fantastic close-ups, while teleconverters boost the reach of selected lenses even further.

Thanks to our latest X-Processor 5, FUJIFILM X-T30 III has all 20 current Film Simulations, including the ever-popular Velvia for punchy colors, CLASSIC CHROME for more muted tones, and ACROS for black & white. The Film Simulation dial on the top-plate also enables you to create Film Simulation recipes, where you can change a range of settings for your own unique look. Once created, these are saved to the FS1-FS3 settings on the dial, so you can instantly add a personal creative touch to every image you make.

FUJIFILM X-T30 III has useful video functionality, including 6.2K video and slow-motion options. These are great for recording high-quality movie clips that will enhance your memories. That said, FUJIFILM X-T30 III is designed primarily for stills photography. If you’re looking for a more video-focused model at a similar price, we’d recommend FUJIFILM X-M5, which is designed with the video creative in mind. As such, it features a dedicated Vlog function, directional microphones, and 9:16 upright video for content that can be posted straight to social media channels.

The AI functionality in FUJIFILM X-T30 III is designed purely to help you make better images, primarily when photographing moving subjects. The AI runs on the camera alone and does not store or transmit any of your personal information. Instead, the deep-learning algorithm enhances the camera’s focusing performance by recognizing and tracking subjects as they move through the frame. The result is an improved success rate, where non-AI focus may deliver an inferior performance.

If you’re a smartphone user, the touchscreen functions on FUJIFILM X-T30 III will be familiar and should improve overall usability. With touchscreen functionality activated, you can tap on part of the screen to focus, swipe through images, and pinch/zoom to check sharpness. Touchscreen gestures are also customizable, so you can assign specific features to different gestures. However, unlike a smartphone, if you prefer not to use the touchscreen features, they can be disabled in the SET UP menu.

Yes, FUJIFILM X-T30 III is compatible with XApp, which is available for both iOS and Android. You can pair the camera during initial set-up, or this can be accessed later via the Bluetooth menu. Once paired, you can easily share images with family and friends, or even use XApp to remotely control the camera. Better still, XApp automatically downloads the latest firmware for your camera when it’s available, so it will remain up to date in terms of features and functionality.
