The 18 f1.4 lens locks on instantly. It’s mind boggling how there is no perceptible lag. The autofocus on this is night and day compared to the other lenses I have used in the past. I had originally went for the most compact lenses. The Fuji 16-50 showed me how great these larger Fuji lenses can be. I was surprised to see how often I used the lower end of that lens and started looking for an 18mm lens.
This 18 f1.4 is incredible. It excels up close, indoors and also provides wide shots outside. This is my default lens and it stays on my camera. I got a refurb here from Fuji and it looked brand new.
