- With an aperture range of F2 to F16 set in one-third increments, XF18mmF2’s aperture ring has a smooth and positive action that makes it easy to precisely control depth-of-field and exposure.
- The lens elements used in XF18mmF2 R optics are specially coated by a special Electron Beam Coating (EBC) process that applies thin and uniform optical coatings to the glass multiple times to minimize flare and ghosting, but also enhance image colors and details.
- At just under .04in (33mm) in length, XF18mmF2 is an incredibly potable and light pancake lens, so there’s really no excuse to leave it at home.
- The lens’s aperture blades are rounded off at the edges to provide enhanced sharpness and deliver smooth bokeh, especially when it is used at F2.
