1. 6.2K Video Recording

X-S20 can record exceptionally high-quality 6.2K video at up to 30fps. It also supports 4K video at up to 60fps and Full HD (1080p) at up to 240fps, making it a great option for smooth, slow-motion sequences.

At 6.2K, it records 4:2:2 10-bit internally, giving you beautiful color and detail straight out of camera and more flexibility in post-production.

2. In-Body Image Stabilization (IBIS)

The IBIS in X-S20 provides five-axis stabilization for up to 7.0-stops of benefit, which helps smooth out handheld footage. This is especially valuable for vlogging, when you're moving around or holding the camera at arm's length.

3. Vari-Angle LCD Touchscreen

X-S20 has a fully articulating touchscreen LCD, which makes it impressively versatile for self-recording, vlogging, and recording from various angles.

By flipping the screen around to face you while filming, you’ll always have a clear view of the frame.

The touchscreen is also responsive and allows for easy focus selection, menu navigation, and settings adjustments while recording.

4. Excellent Autofocus Performance

X-S20’s autofocus system is fast and reliable. It boasts a hybrid autofocus system that combines phase-detection and contrast-detection for quick and accurate focus, which is particularly useful in dynamic or moving scenes like vlogs.

It also offers face and eye detection. This is essential for vlogging, as it ensures the camera keeps you in sharp focus.

5. High-Quality Audio Options

X-S20 has a 3.5mm microphone input, which allows you to connect an external on-camera mic, giving you clean, high-quality audio straight into the camera.

The built-in microphone provides great quality in most situations, but first and foremost, a camera is a visual tool. For audio quality comparable to your favorite vloggers, an external mic is highly recommended – and connecting one to X-S20 couldn’t be simpler.

6. Long Battery Life

X-S20 uses Fujifilm’s large NP-W235 battery, which is more powerful than older Fujifilm batteries. You can expect around 80 minutes of 4K/59.94p recording on a single charge (depending on other camera settings).

With the ability to charge via USB-C, you can top up your battery on the go using a power bank or plug into an external power source, and you’ll be ready to keep vlogging.

7. Compact and Lightweight Design

X-S20 is compact and lightweight (just 491g / 1.08lb), making it easy to hold for long periods without getting tired – perfect for vloggers who want to record all day and travel light.

It also has a comfortable grip and well-laid-out control scheme that’s easy to use with one hand. This becomes especially useful when holding the camera for selfie recording.

8. Film Simulation Modes

Fujifilm’s Film Simulation modes allow you to create a range of stylish looks for your vlogs without needing any color grading or correction.

You can choose from modes like neutral PROVIA/Standard, vintage-looking CLASSIC CHROME, or vibrant Velvia, each with its own unique aesthetic to suit different types of content or moods.

9. Webcam Mode

In addition to normal daily vlogging, X-S20 can also be used as a webcam when connected via USB-C, allowing you to stream directly to online video platforms. It’s a great feature if you want consistently professional-looking video quality across a few different types of content creation.

10. Vlog Mode and Quick Menu

X-S20 has a customizable quick menu, so you can assign commonly used settings (like white balance, exposure, or focus settings) for fast adjustments before recording.

The camera also has a dedicated Vlog mode, accessed with just the turn of a dial. You can see and adjust useful vlogging settings, like Background Defocus and Product Priority, overlaid on-screen while you’re recording.
