How to Use 2-in-1 Mode on X half
The process is incredibly simple. Create an image, then pull the Frame Advance Lever. You’ll see an icon appear on screen, illustrating two side-by-side frames. Create your second image, and you’re done.
Here’s a tip: before making your second image, press and hold in the Frame Advance Lever to review the first image you made.
And, if you want to use an image you made a while back as part of a 2-in-1, you can. Press the PLAY button, view the image on screen, then pull the Frame Advance Lever and make a second image.
Creative X half 2-in-1 Settings
Choose which Film Simulation or filter to apply to each of your 2-in-1 images in the same way as any single image – but you can also get creative with the way they’re combined.
To explore options, swipe from right to left on the touchscreen. In the SET UP menu, choose CUSTOM SETTINGS.
In here, you’ll find DIVIDING LINE SETTINGS and 2IN1 SHOOTING ORDER options.
The first option lets you customize the line that divides the halves of your combined 2-in-1, with different color, width, and style choices.
The second option lets you choose whether the image you create first appears on the left or right of the 2-in-1.
Make a 2-in-1 with X half App
Combining images in-camera is creative and fun, but if you want to make 2-in-1 images later, you can.
Open X half App and tap 2-in-1. Look through the images you’ve made recently, then tap one to send it into the first 2-in-1 frame. To replace it, just tap a different image.
To add a second image, tap the empty 2-in-1 frame, then choose a second image just like before.
You’ll also see three options at the bottom of the screen. Swap switches the positions of the images in the 2-in-1, Mirroring flips an image within its frame, and Dividing lets you control the same dividing line options as you can in-camera.
Tap Done to save your 2-in-1.
Share Images from X half App
You can share a 2-in-1 image from X half App in two ways: online or as an instaxTM print.
When you’ve finished creating your 2-in-1, tap Print to send it to your instaxTM smartphone printer, or Share to send it via a social or messaging app.
