FUJIFILM X half™: Making instax™ Prints The joy of creating physical photos is exceptionally easy thanks to FUJIFILM X half’s native compatibility with select instax™ printers. Here’s how to connect and print

2 min read

FUJIFILM X half is built to make memories, and bringing those moments to life is a natural progression. That’s where physical prints come in.

It’s always an option, but X half connects directly with current instaxTM Link printers, meaning there are no middle steps between photographing a meaningful moment and holding a longtime keepsake in your hands.

Pairing instaxTM Link and X half

Take your X half and instaxTM Link printer, then make sure they’re powered on and in close range. On the camera’s touchscreen, swipe from top to bottom, then choose PAIRING from the menu.

Connection should be automatic. If not, turn both camera and printer off then on again, and retry. X half is natively compatible with:

instax Link WIDETM

instax mini Link 2TM

instax mini Link 3TM

instax SQUARE LinkTM

Printing Using X half

First, you need to make some images. Once they’re stored to your SD card, press the PLAY button to review them.

Once you’ve found an image you want to print, tap the MENU icon in the vertical sub LCD to the left of X half’s touchscreen. Scroll down to instaxTM PRINTER PRINT and tap OK. You’ll have the opportunity to resize, crop, and reposition your image before printing.

Here’s a tip: you can choose between natural and vibrant print colors. Swipe from right to left on X half’s touchscreen, choose the NETWORK/USB SETTING, then select instaxTM IMAGE QUALITY MODE.

Developing instaxTM Film

After you’ve sent your photo from X half to your instaxTM Link printer, you’ll see progress on screen. Once the print is fully ejected, simply place it down face-up.

You’ll see the image come into place gradually, and after roughly 90 seconds it’ll be fully developed. It’s best to avoid direct sunlight during development, and there’s no need to shake the print.
